NFL Power Rankings - Week 7Not much change at the top, where #4 Pittsburgh was the only top team to lose. The lesson - bet on the top teams! Teams to watch for - Buffalo, Giants, Dolphins.
College Football Power Rankings - Week 8Sinatra said he felt bad for people who don't drink; when they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they'll feel all day. Well, even the good people of Utah might have to sip some bubbly after this season if the Utes keep winning. If only they were allowed to gamble!!
NFL Power Rankings - Week 6No changes in the top four; Detroit remains number 1, and who will beat this team? ACC bettors might remember that Shaun Hill was an ATM at Maryland in his college days, and he remains an ATM in the pros. The return of Matthew Stafford may actually hurt this team.
College Football Power Rankings - Week 7BCS-Buster Utah remains the nation's only undefeated team, and deservedly remains atop our Power Rankings. Arkansas tumbles to 9th after a memorable loss at Auburn, and former #3 Ohio State finally showed their true colors while being embarassed at Wisconsin; another week and we can drop them out of the poll. Record ATS and last week's ranking in parentheses
Belichick Settles for Tie; Saints Notch First WinNew England coach Bill Belichick committed two major blunders in a game the Patriots would ultimately tie against the Baltimore Ravens.
NFL Power Rankings - Week 5We expected a great game in Detroit when the Lions met #2 St. Louis; we instead saw the official coming out of a great team, as Detroit pounded the Rams 44-9. The Lions deservedly take over #1 after Kansas City's loss to Indy, but likely would have leapfrogged KC anyway. St. Louis falls only to 3; the Lions are just that good. Meanwhile, when will Sean Payton be fired in New Orleans?
College Football Power Rankings - Week 6Once again, the #1 team in these presitgious rankings has fallen; Oregon was hammered 59.5-43 by lowly Washington State. #2 Alabama was also emabarassed by a conference foe. The rest of the top 15 was relatively unscathed, with only three newcomers. Record ATS and last week's ranking in parentheses
Favre, Idiot Vikings Hand Jets Dramatic VictoryIn a shocking finish to Monday Night Football, the Minnesota Vikings handed the Jets a dramatic 29-24 victory at the Meadowlands.
NFL Week 5 - Lions Make StatementThe Detroit Lions pounded the previously unbeaten St. Louis Rams 44-9 to bolster their claim as the top team in the NFL. In Indianpolis, the Colts nipped the Chiefs 19-17 to knock Kansas City from the ranks of the unbeaten.
NFL Power Rankings - Week 4Kansas City is still unbeaten after the bye week; can they go into Indy and win? And who will solidify their spot as the #2 team in the NFL (or take over #1); St. Louis or Detroit? The question will be settled in the Motor City on Sunday. This week's big movers were the Jets (up from 17 to 7), Dolphins (down from 7 to 23), and Bears (down from 9 to 17). Who will surprise this week?
